The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality, timeliness, and successful delivery of construction projects, specifically within the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) sector. This role requires leadership in managing onsite operations, vendors, subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring efficient project execution and resolution of challenges.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Scope Definition:

Assist the Director in managing the project engineering of ACMV systems, including defining project scope, setting goals, and determining deliverables.

  • Project Scheduling & Budgeting:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, detailing timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Coordination & Progress Monitoring:
    • Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to ensure project progress aligns with submission deadlines, schedules, and milestones, addressing any issues or delays.
  • Subcontractor & Team Management:
    • Oversee the performance of subcontractors, supervisors, and workers, while liaising with clients, authorities, and consultants to resolve any bottlenecks.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure that the project complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and any relevant legal or environmental requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Regularly update stakeholders—including clients, senior management, and team members—on the project status, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues proactively, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines or quality.
  • Quality Control:
    • Maintain high standards of quality control by conducting site inspections and promptly resolving any technical issues or deficiencies.
  • Site Reporting:
    • Prepare and update site reports, tracking progress and reporting any deviations from the initial project plan.
  • Safety Compliance & Risk Assessment:
    • Conduct regular safety assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in ACMV systems, including project management and engineering roles.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in ACMV system installation, including CHWP, VRV, and VRF systems.
    • Strong technical knowledge in HVAC systems design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Proficient in using relevant software tools and applications, with a strong understanding of technical drawings and project management software.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of ACMV engineering principles, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Project Management Skills:
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to ensure successful project execution.
  • Leadership & Management:
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team, ensuring collaboration and high performance.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving:
    • Strong analytical abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex issues on the project site.
