Senior Project Engineer (ACMV)

Job Description

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing complex projects, with a primary focus on the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) sector. This includes ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently in line with company procedures and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • HVAC System Design and Installation: Oversee the design and installation of HVAC systems, including aspects like ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
  • Maintenance Programs: Develop and implement strategies to ensure HVAC systems perform optimally and efficiently, maintaining energy standards.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site assessments to identify potential problems and provide solutions.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that projects meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Collaboration: Work with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the HVAC system integrates effectively with the overall building design.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with the latest HVAC trends and technology to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Technical Support: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure projects meet safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and upper management.
  • Business Development: Contribute to company growth through proposal writing and client interactions.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the ACMV field, specifically with HVAC systems and projects.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including equipment selection, load calculations, and ductwork design.
    • Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and regulations related to HVAC system design and installation.
  • Project Management:
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, budgets, and team performance effectively.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software for HVAC system design and drafting.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and develop efficient solutions.
